Photographer's Note

Two little girls frolicked around the couple of mud huts. Hard to believe that the huts were only models, because they were exact replicas in shape, size & form. These mud hut structure is typical of rural West Bengal (my home state). You may notice the mask hanging behind the girls on the outer wall of the hut, behind the ladder. This mask is used for Chhau, a mask dance, performed in certain areas of West Bengal.

The girls looked like sisters, twins to be precise, and would not have been more than 10 years of age. They were playing, climbing up the mud stairs & climbing down again. They were full of life, vibrancy & innocence, as one would expect from children of their age. Seeing me taking their picture, they giggled & burst out in laughter as if this was something funny. Like their innocence, even their joy was unlimited.

This time some different picture from your side, Nice capture of a great moment of life (childhood), good POV and colors with sharpness. Girls know that you were taking picture ? I also like the workshop picture.

Hi Angshu,

It's always good to see smiling and joyful kids playing and having fun. The link to the other one is also very interesting the two of them against that grey building. But here the joy and the interaction between those two looks so nice. Great tight frame capture, you did very well here. Detail on their clothings is beautiful, not bad for a Panasonic ;-)

One can hardly shoot a scene more spontaneous than this one Angshu. I can hear them laugh!
We're definitely in India with this little bracelet, the rangoli and the goddess (Durga ?)at the entrance

It is wonderful to see their joyful faces and you timed your shot to perfection. It looks like the one on the right was checking you out from the corner of her eye. ;D Although tightly framed on the girls there is also such a lot of visual information in the background as you pointed out.

Hi Angshu, not only a joyous double portrait but we have much detail as you point out to explore in the background.
I like their drresses of the same material reminds me when i was younger and my mother always made the dresses for my sister and I.

Sometimes I think it would be nice to be as young as the two girls, who look as you mention in your note "fullof life, vibrancy and innocence"...Prbably because half of my own life is probably behind me.
