You found an interesting subject.
However, there are major lighting problems, all your faces are in shadows, no detail to see.
This one was a tough one to take. If you look at the ocean and sky it appears over exposed. You would have needed a good strong fill flash to pull this one off.
Then there is the person blocking your shot. Should have moved or moved around him/her.
