Photographer's Note
I don't know what could I possibly write that haven't been mentioned before about the Great Taj.
So I will offer you my modest thought about photography...
When staying for a long period in a village, a city or a country, any given dedicated photographer might have the reflex to take it cool once in a while and having a break away from his camera, thinking that the day after, he'll get serious again.
Well, if I didn't shoot the Taj the same day as I arrived from a long drive from Delhi, I would never had the chance again to shoot it, because for the next 4 days that I was spending in Agra, there was such a heavy fog that I could only photograph the monument in milky silhouette.
I was lucky that evening, because many times in different destinations, I have decided to take a break while the weather was nice, only to regret it the day after, when the rain wouldn't stop for days...

Bravo
Bonne journée

well you made the most of the fine clear weather, althoug the Taj in the milky fog is also somethign to behold. I believe Angshu has a fantastic image from this side of the river in the fog.
Good POV chosen to give the best to the reflections

Hello Andre
I don't think ive seen the Taj with this POV, excellent lead into the image with the reflections, the Taj stands out magnificently in the frame from its colour, detail and contrasts. One wonder I would like to see one day.
Well done

Who says Taj Mahal has very difficult POVs to take a nice snap other than the conventional one. They are all lies. A superb presentation of this grand building. Yes I agree you got the weather at your side. The reflections are stunning. A nice work.
Congratulations!!
Have Fun

Hello Andre,
Alone the a lot churches, mosques and temples buildings with the religion background care for the most beautiful buildings.
Wonderful soft and fine reflections too.
Composition and presentation are very well. TFS.
Best regards,
John.

Hello Andre,
I like two things in your picture:
- the very nice reflection of the Taj Mahal in the water
- the original point of view
That's a nice shot.

Yves.

What a lovely archietecture. The reflections in the river make this scenery even more attractive. Good depth and backgroudn thanks to the clouds in the sky.
Excellent.

Andre,
This is an original composition of this famous place. The angle of the shot is great creating a sense of direction. The reflection is great adding depth and balance for the shot. You have used the areas of sun and shadow to create nice contrast in the scene.

Photographed a zillion times, but thsi one has an oriignal touch by including the mosque, all in warm evening tones enhanced by the reflections. I didn't find so much water i nthe river at my visit... In fact, it was only a large pool thanks to a small dam upstream just outside the tourist's view...

Hi Andre,
What a spectacular view! And you show us such an original POV, with fantastic light and reflections. Were you on the boat on yamuna, or was it made from the other side? I would like to see such a view. Unfortunately, the weather was like on your other photo, rainy and foggy all the time. We were expecting that it will be better, but was worse. I was not lucky.
My experience is that wnen the light conditions etc. are goog the relax is not imposrtant.
Warm regards

Andre, I looked at this yesterday and searched it up again today. The more I though of it the more I liked this composition. I have never see the Taj but have seen thousands of photos, this is maybe the first or second one that makes me want to go see for myself. Great work, and your note is absolutely true.

Dear Andre
The Yamuna had enough water thanks to the rain I guess to provide you with nice mirror reflections! The light was good indeed, the soft evening light & this classical view from the other side works really well!
Take care my friend!

Hi André!
That's a magnificent photograph of that wonderful place!
It's unique, original and very beautiful - I have never seen those buildings from that point of view!
Sharpness, exposure, colors, horizontal format, white borders and composition are all oustanding features here! I love those perfect symmetrical reflections!
TFS - congratulations!

Hi Andre
this is possibly my favorite photo i've ever seen of this Iconic figure.
what i like most is the angled compo.
typically we see it viewed straight-on, so this is a wonderful visual break from the norm.
very fine sharpness and details, excellent lighting and love the long depth created showing the other structures aswell.
always keep your camera at your side, you know what will happen if you decide to leave it behind that one day!
Have a great day

Salut Andre, this is a POV of the great Taj that I have never seen before. The image is luminous, with beautiful diagonal lines. I'm glad you took advantage of the brief but good weather conditions at that stage. Although having looked at your photo in milky sillhouette I can honestly say that you made an artwork out of very difficult lighting conditions. Great job as usual, TFS, Lisa

Hi Andre,
The point of view on your photograph is different from a shots which I saw before. Usually the most pictures show the white building located on the centre. I like the two additional mosques on both side of the Taj. A reflection in the water is beautiful.
