Rumtek Bungalow : This Bungalow was seen close to Rumtek Monastery on way to Gangtok.It had a modern architecture with some nice designs.Many such Bungalows have been built in the outskirts of Gangtok,by the rich and the famous.This happened to belong to a senior Sikkimese Govt.Functionary and is rented out to guests in peak tourist season.

hi Farhat,
Now that is a house!! :) This is a wonderful building, simple in its design, but very impressive in its scale and size. This is precisely the type of building I would have made with my lego as a child (except I could not build arches). The bright blue tone of the buildings works perfectly against the hazy rainy background. Cool shot, thanks for sharing.

Obviously Sikkim is changing fast, embracing the modern world. Development is not bad, but it looks, that it comes with loss of tradition and culture. 30 years ago I was in Sikkim. I remember well how the place looked like. Most probably I would be disappointed what I would see today. Good photo job

You're capturing well this bungalow by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's impressive to see modern bungalow built in front of green nature with ble wall, white window frame and red roof. I'd rather call this a beautiful mansion.

Now I would never have put this house to Sikkim. The style and colors are so atypique. It is a big house and although a simple design it is quite big and impressive.

nice the view of the Rumtek bungalow that is found to close to the Monastery.The place must be very interesting with so many guests to take their holidays there in the peak tourist season.I like the painting of the building as contrast perfect with the backdrop foggy atmosphere.

I used to think of a bungalow as a small structure:) This one is huge and has an intricate and impressive architectural design. I like the fact that it has so many windows but wonder about the "tower" at the top. You got me with the color blue, my favorite! I absolutely love the sharp and geometric shapes from this design, so many neat and interesting visual facets with just a touch of contrasting color from the rooftops. The hazy/foggy background has created some wonderful atmosphere to an image otherwise void of human presence.
