Photographer's Note

And when life begins again, Fate takes over, reminds me of a thirteen century poem.

Sors salutis
et virtutis
michi nunc contraria,
est affectus
et defectus
semper in angaria.
Hac in hora
sine mora
corde pulsum tangite;
quod per sortem
sternit fortem,
mecum omnes plangite!
.
.
.
Fate is against me
in health
and virtue,
driven on
and weighted down,
always enslaved.
So at this hour
without delay
pluck the vibrating strings;
since Fate
strikes down the strong man,
everyone weep with me....

- Extract from the Carmina Burana, still gives me the chills...

A flash of lighting fills the canvas at the Palolem Beach, South Goa. In the early 1980s, Palolem was not that well known except for the few hippies who began coming to Palolem Island and staying there for months. Palolem is one of the most beautiful beaches in Goa and as a result, it often becomes overcrowded during the holiday season.
