Photographer's Note

In the note to my last photo I described Mysore as a remarkably neat and well built Indian city. I guess it's my duty to show that not everything was perfectly neat; that in fact most of Mysore was quite normal.

Once upon a time the Sree Krishna Theatre must have been a nice and clean building. In 1988 most of its façade was covered with posters for films. It made me wonder how on earth people had managed to reach some of those places. These days it's usually graffiti painters that impress me with their ability to decorate the most awkwardly placed surfaces.

One WS shows another wall full of film posters. The other WS is different, just showing a view I liked.

All these photos from October 1988 were scanned from Kodachrome slides.
