Photographer's Note
Old Days:
It refers to the steams engines, which were once symbol of great transportation in olden days. Today they can be rarely seen in working conditions in form of heritage engines, but most of them have been sent to Junkyards for scrap or Museums such as this, where I was able to see such a beautiful engine with its coaches of British India era. Now their places have been taken up by more fuel efficient and powerful diesel and electric engines.
Steam engines, an invention which changed the world is 200 years old.
The First passenger train to run in India was between Bombay to Thane, in 1853.
Photograph was shot coloured but converted to black and white.
