Photographer's Note
Curtains at Norbulignka Monastery in Dharamsala.
I can't add much to this photo besides mentioning that I like this photo a lot and I can't tell you why I I like it but I do like it ... :D
Norbulingka Institute striving to preserve the Tibetan art and culture was a fabulous place. It is located at Sidhpur 10-15 km from Dharamsala. This place also has a very good hotel and restaurant. (Definitely one of the best Tibetan food I have ever had)

Hi Sarju,
Your theme doesn't get well with the shot, for the obvious reasons and Tibetan Art and Culture-----Seduction?
And your shot? I am sure Anjan has already done the needful.

Hi Sarju,
Thank you for your last visit on my gallery! I hope your time in India is going well.
I can understand your emotion about this photo. True, there is a certain feeling coming from it. It could be because of the wind playing with the white curtains. It could be the red and richly golden ornamentation of the furniture in the back that seems to promise some treasures. It could be the black wall (?) that hides the room. And, that's it: what is there that we don't see? Seduction is often that: the promise of wonders that we don't see.

I visited this monastery in the summer of 2005, Sarju.
In the thumbnail format, your image looked like a couple of sail boats. The full view is equally mystifying.
Your caption says it all; there IS 'seduction' in that movement of curtain.

Sarju, man! This is a very nice shot. I wonder how it would look at a little bit different angle.

Hi Sasrju
A mysterious pic as I thought before opening it that it was a sailing boat at the end of the day.But no,more of an invitation to discover another world.
Like you,I like it without being able to say it with words, just that it comes and get inside you,and not letting us be indifferent
Hope your trip is going well and are enjoying yourself.

Man, I just came from a quick look at your blog and you have spectacular photos there. You have to post something!!!!!!
It's a pitty that this photo is so small, but somehow it has much bigger impact in your blog and I guess that is because of your black background: Those curtains gain strengh in contrast with the big dark area and that doesn't happen here. May be with a black frame around it to make it 800kb, would work better...

Hey, I recollect this door. Well not at Himachal, but at the monastery in Coorg, Karnataka which is visited sometime last year. Observing the door in your picture, I have taken a closeup of the door handle from my collection. Please have a look at this.

It's really a great and smart shot. Light and sharpness are perfect and the minimalism creates a strong atmosphere. I just regret the small size of the post. Whatever, a beautiful compo.

Hi Sarju,
great picture, very strong in this darkness the sleaziness of the cloth and its lightness reflexion.
It has something that appeals to you, very myterious...
Best regards, Amel
