Photographer's Note

That is a day to remember for this nice couple... the same as in this picture , I went totally unnoticed as they had the 'official' video taken (a must in Indian weddings).... Just to show this custom of wearing gold rings on top of their white gloves... maybe originating in Portugal, this habit remains till today..
In WS another view of the same scene.... two pictures for the price of one!!!

As far as I know, the gloves for the bridegroom are not a custom in Portugal. I am not saying that it was not long, long time ago. It is possible. Anyway, it is very interesting to see all that gold over the gloves. Well done.

Yes, in many instances the video shoot out is there, as the couple can refresh their moments of glory after many years down the line. The bride seems to be uneasy but she cannot hide her feelings of intense happiness.
Marriage as is asaid in India, isonly once in a life time and the couple pledge to reamin together for at least seven lives.
This is the bond of love.

J'aime la menage a troi ... what a strange habit to demonstrate the gold rings over the gloves. I'm not sure for the bride, but for me she doesn't seem too happy. Maybe she thinks about the fact that she isn't still a member of her own family, maybe it isn't the man she is in love, maybe she even't like his mother ... but maybe it's just my own fantasy and it has nothing to do with reality.

A nice 'reportage' kind of shot, nicely exposed allowing us to see mucn detail in the bride's dress. There's nice lighting too and the shot is nicely framed.

Hi Lo,
Le titre est amusant,(ca me fait penser a un film), et la compo sympa. J aime bien certains details, comme les bracelets verts/jaunes, le bouquet de roses, les details de la robe bien lumineux et enfin la main gantee et paree de bagues en or. La lumiere a l air d eblouir les maries,mais cependant ils gardent le sourire:)

yes! It is really amusing to shot pictures that way in the marriages!
I think that the video man ask them to look into the sun...it is too difficult and the girl looks suffering!

Hi Laurent - I love the title, the bright white clothing made the light more challenging, but it worked quite well overall exposurewise I think, good spontanaeous expressions.

J'ai trouvé cette photo dans tes "random photos", et je l'ai ajoutée à mon thème " Brides grooms mariés ". J'espère que tu n'y vois pas d'inconvénient!
J'aime les photos de mariés en général, et surtout observer les différentes traditions de mariage dans le monde . Dans cette partie du monde, on a l'habitude de voir des mariées plus traditionnelles, mais Goa a de toute évidence subi l'influence occidentale. Il reste quelques détails locaux cependant, comme les anneaux sur le gant blanc, le bracelet de la mariée, et surtout la couleur de peau des protagonistes qui fait ressortir le blanc de la robe de façon magnifique!

For what is she looking for? Your compo is very interesting showing this interesting ceremony at Goa way. Very uncommon for Brasil also the man's glove.
