Photographer's Note
usual suspects wasting the day away at the entrance to a mosque in Srinagar... the mosque itself is an interesting construction, it is over 600 yo and is all made of wood with rich papier-mache decorations inside (ladies are allowed to glance through a window). I tried B&W but left colour as I wanted to show off the green which was just the only colour here after the neutral grey... such wooden mosques I am told only existed in Kashmir and parts of Mongolia...
oh, and I'll remember to get CLOSER next time... I didn't read the TrekEarch tips then

It's a nice shot, but maybe a bit to much foreground, but I guess you have that so you could get the kid in the picture aswell, I would like to see more of that beautiful mosque. Like the colouring.

Interesting picture! I wonder, it's so much alike some of their (Indian) illuminations, even this strange composition with a big, nearly colorless foreground divided into two halves and wonderful detailed colorful background.
