Photographer's Note
Nyoma (4000 mtrs) is the administrative headquarters of the Rupshu and Changthang areas in Ladakh. The Chinese border lies over the last range visible and the Indus meanders lazily through a flat plateau, unhurried and tranquil.
Fortunately this is a restricted area requiring very special permits to visit and and inaccessible to all tourists! No pollution, no noise no people…just the odd herds of Kijang ( Tibetan wild ass) and hundreds of marmots!
Anytime you need to settle your inner aura a single day in this heaven that I was fortunate to be born in…the Himalayas…is better treatment than a hundred overpaid shrinks could ever give!!
Be here….experience it… our tranquil home!

Very peaceful image with a great softness. Although the horizon is centered in this case it works well due to the strong presence of the mountains that catch all the attention to them.

I love this image, very well taken. I rtrekked from hemis to Tso moriri, ansd was invited to a weeding near tso kar.
those landcapes are some of the cleanest I have ever seen. and your picture is WONDERFUL.

It's really a tranquil photo. Those big portions of sky and water increase this feeling.

This is excellent. I love the subtle colours and the mountains fading into the distance.
I think this would look great cropped down to make a panoramic picture but the way you have taken it here gives such a great feeling of space and calm.

Very nice ! so soft and peaceful. At first sight I thought that the mountains were too centered but then I realized that it gives a feeling of being very well anchored and balanced between sky and water.

This is a fantastic shot, just breathtaking! The tones, saturation and contrast are just perfect. The mountains are wonderful from this distance.
