I just came back from Indonesia, home leave...
went to several places, around java and sumatera.

This picture was taken early morning at Singkarak lake, west Sumatera.
Mr. Rifai was fishing the small fishes, called bilis by local. The people living near this singkarak lake, are fishermen in the morning and farmers in the day time. They sell immediately the fishes they catch.
but for Mr. Rifai, he said he catches fishes only for him self, good to eat with sambal (hot chilly sauce) he said.

Long time no see, reading the note I understand where you've been hiding so long, hope you had a nice time in Indonesia :-)
This is a nice very quiet and serene scene here, with the boat well placed and the passing bird slightly blurred adding some motion.

Une image un peu soft mais dont il se dégage une très bonne ambiance.
J0aurais pour ma part accentué les couleurs de l'arrière plan de montagne qui est superbe afin de donner plus d'impact à l'image.
Je me suis permis un petit WS.

Hi Cessy,
Ther compositional elements are there, a certain mood permeates, and the soft pastel tones wraps up the image nicely and appropriately. One small thing - I would have cropped just a tad - both top and bottom to give this more cinematic, widescreen feel.

You captured such a wonderful early morning atmosphere around the lake with this soft light and colours. The boat is well included in the composition, just as the lonely bird. Very well seen and captured, thanks for sharing!
