Hundreds of seafood stalls and restaurants line the port side of Pangandaran. This guy owned a small shop selling dried fish.

Hi Caleb, I find this picture very nice, the herring above and it portret of the man is excellent cropped, the colours are really and the composition great.

Wow, smoked fish in plastic wraping. Things have changed since I was in Pangandaran 10 years ago.
This is a happy photo of a proud shopkeeper, who has probably been a fisherman most of his life and "swallowed the anchor" as they say, for a better life ashore. A sensitive classic pose.

I haven't been to Pangandaran. Was it worth the detour? It is on my list of things to see on my next trip across Java.

I like the repetitive patterns of the fish & alfoil trays.

Interesting row of dry fish in plastic bags behind him, The green coomes off as a nice border, and all the colors are nicely saturated. Looking forward to the next year's offerings from you (others too, but I feel we have the same eye for people many times, though you are "ahead" of me with your craft and material). Pictures like yours is what makes TE such a great site.
