Another scene from Sunda Kelapa port in Jakarta, showing the Phinisi schoolners birthed for loading and unloading. This must be a completing unique sight, being one of the few remaining places on earth where traditional wooden cargo boats are still in use on trading routes.

somewhat belatedly I want to compliment you on that incredible photography. Why did almost nobody notice this on TE? Awesome :-) Thanks for this testimony of the famous Indonesian shipbuilding traditions.
