Every large town and many smaller ones have castles that tend to define the entire towns. Kanazawa's is a large one, across the road from the Kenrokuen Gardens.
It is easy to walk a round, with only a small second storey. Superb for cherry blossom.

Hello Janet, Nice detail from this typical Japanese castle. Lovely view of the tower, nice colors and sharpness.
I have also been in Kanazawa, the Kenrokuen Gardens are fantastic. Thanks for sharing
