Photographer's Note
I took this on the train on the way to yokohama but I think the only flaw of this picture is that damn coca cola can.

I used to think extraneous objects like phones and cans and anything that put a stake through the overall symetry of a shot were bad and regretful but you know what? The bottle of coke was there. It is part of the scene and it looks good there. Popular conceptions of Japan exoticise the place as orderly, modern, futuristic... almost utopian. Of course that thinking is purely fantastic and the coke bottle is a nice counterweight.
Before I depart on some philosophical tangent here it implies that someone is obviously consuming it and hence has a preference for coke over other brands-- it's a touch of human 'reality' that lifts whoever owns the person on the other end of that shoe above the other clinical models sitting down the isles.
On a technical scale I'd be tempted to adjust the contrast here, it's a little flat but it's a great train shot. I'd be curious to see another one taken when it's peak hour-- nothing like watching people sleep standing up... :)

Interesting foot fetails. But I did not like that detail, sorry. Other than those details, an excellent greyscale shot, great composition. Excellent depthness. Thanks Jerry. alpayzeybek

This shot is so clean. It looks like a set-up for a scene in a film shoot. The black and white is very effective. Well done.
