Photographer's Note
A double-length, double-decker bullet train leaving the station in Tokyo. I love the strange yet beautiful curve of the noses.

Excellent image, very well done. The curves are truly magnificent. Your composition here is striking. I like how I see the man behind the window looking absently down at the platform. But the clincher here is the conductor poking his head out the small window for a last check before departure. Great shot!

Perfect catch of the SuperMAX Shinkansen. Good play on using both trains curves at the same time. On the thumbnail, I thought they came out with a new train model.

Nice catch Sam. I like the conductor sticking his head out, but personally, I would have liked the shot to show a bit more of the second train. Perhaps from a bit closer to the departing train looking back might have been a better perspective, but that is only my opinon.

I agree with nmess. Maybe standing few meter back and more on your left. Anyway, I ilke the play of straight and curved line.
Otherwise, to know averything (almost) about Shinkensen, past, present and future, here is a website :

The curve of the Shinkansen's rear/nose make the image appear distorted by manipulation, or to drag into the distance with a false perpective. Very odd indeed.
