A group of geisha disappearing through a gateway near sunset, in the Gion area of Kyoto.

I should confess I'm pretty sure they're not real geisha, as I heard them asking for directions in English a few minutes before, so I guess they're just on one of the "dress up as a geisha for the day" experience programs that are available in Kyoto (which I might do myself, in fact!). But real or fake, they present the same photographic opportunity!

I added a softening effect in Picnik, leaving the area around the geisha in focus.
