Photographer's Note
This was taken in a mall in downtown Osaka. I was taken by all the intersecting escalators which were impossible to capture in all their magnitude. I wanted a bit of a blur so I handheld while resting the lens on a rail.
PP:
1) Desaturate
2) Blue filter
3) Noise removal
Japan is truly a magnificent place to shoot.

The blue in blue colours and the disordered escalators seem to make this place a lonesome labyrinth for the single person using one of the escalator. He/ she seems to be lost.

Very graphic photo with long seconds before deciphering all this scene.
I like the bluish depiction, it gives a futuristic dimension to this place.
Congratulations, it is magnificent!

Photo très graphique avec de longues secondes avant de décrypter toute cette scène.
J'adore le rendu bleuté, cela donne une dimension futuriste à ce lieu.
Félicitations, c'est superbe !

Wow so cool. the blue filter adds a lot though I usually am against too much editing. cause it makes it "about the effects" instead of "about photography".
lovely composition and sharpness... I really love it.

A fascinating composition, Don. The lighting really makes the shot outstanding. Its a geometric delight, and although I'm not really into abstract art, I like the effect very much. Well seen and rendered. Best regards. John

Now THIS shot rocks! Hahaha...
Hey Don, looks like you got a real winner here. Well done mate!
The composition and maze of the escalators is awesome. The added bluish tone (to me) makes it feel desolate- like what you would experience if you were to walk through at 4am.
Great job Don, hope this gets you back into the loop... ;-)
Cheers mate,

Donald, this is very nicely composed. Only thing I wish was you waited couple of seconds to have the two people in hte frame. That might have made the photo a bit different (and dynamic??).

Hallo,
It’s beautiful, really a piece of art...
blue is definitely necessary in photo, and how stairs are blurry and emptiness of that complex place...

I really like how you applied the blue filter to this picture. It really makes it zing!
Sure is a lot of escalator there. ;-)

The angles of intersection are very pleasing. Well seen! The layering effect is absolutely dizzying.

Hey Donald,
Very nice shot with geometrical dynamism. And the cold colors fit well with the steel, tiles and emptiness of the place. The top left and the lower right corners give me the impression that this chain goes higher and deeper. I think the steps could be sharper or with a little more motion, in this exposure they look like stuck in between.
Anyway, very nice shot!
