Taken in our (my wife's actually!) garden in Bishkongae, near Bishkek. If you take enough macros by hand, one is sure to be in the right place at the right time!

Other than sizing for TE, nothing was done to the shot.

Good shot Robin.
Colors can be enhanced and the focus is a bit off..but good capture anyway.
I had an idea for a different take on this photo, see my workshop.

I like this one as is, it's a truly great capture. The centre of the flower is nice and crisp, and the front end of the bee likewise. With macros the DOF area is extremely shallow, so getting both within the DOF range is a feat that maybe can only be appreciated to the full by those (like me) who have tried and failed. Bees don't hang around forever waiting for someone to focus on them ;-))

The bee looks very relaxed with those legs almost crossed :) Great shot Robin... very sharp. Very well timed.

When I see the thumbnail of this one it seems just like a normal flower photo. Thanks too Guy Ben's workshop I got attracted to se the original too. Thinks his workshop is better, but you have done the main work, and catch the buzzing bee. Very well done. Have many times wish I had a good macro lens, so that I would be able to take shots like this. So far I haven't make it. Great DOF and colors.

this is totally wicked! u've really captured the essence of nature in this extremely well composed picture

the levels all around are relly balanced and the shadows is soft, very good exposion over all and again...this is a wicked photo
