Photographer's Note

This is the Special Guard of Honor Battalion “Jamsrangijn Jondon” also commonly known as the Mongolian State Honor Guard preparing for ceremony of changing of guards.
The Mongolian State Honor Guard was founded on August 16, 1955 as an honor guard unit of the People's Army of the Mongolian People's Republic. The honor guard battalion's different companies participate in all major events organized by the Ministry of Defense, such as state arrival ceremonies for foreign heads of state, government and military delegations during their official visits to Ulaanbaatar.
Members of the battalion are required to have 180 cm (5 ft 11 in) and have good physical traits.
