Photographer's Note

Once a centre for one of Myanmar's most powerful kingdoms. The surrounding rice fields are well watered by the annual monsoon, which bring up to more than 500 cm of rain per year. All the photographs uploaded in TE belong to the dry season. I travelled during the monsoon season. In someways I could experience another view of Mrauk U. No sunsets, no misty landscapes, lots of rain, mobility problems, but here you have how I saw the different temples, green, alive, wet and sometimes accompanied by snakes ! It's a very special place, worth to go back. I am still impressed, although the long trip to get there.
