Photographer's Note
Smartly outfitted in traditional attire, this Intha waiter is ready to be of service. The Intha are an ethnic group, about 70,000 in number, who live on or near Inle Lake. They speak an older variant of the Burmese language. They live in the numerous homes built up on stilts, accessible by boats and readily visible to travellers, mainly supporting themselves with vegetable farms located on floating gardens.
