Photographer's Note
Myanmar’s historic railroads get are slow but do get you to your destination eventually, and provide plenty of opportunities to engage with locals. Riding ordinary class is the cheapest way to rail around Myanmar. It comes with simple wooden benches. First class has wooden benches with cushions but is only available on certain trains.

Hello Elaine,
Another nice photo of the kind I like. No temple or palace but an interesting glimpse of daily life of "ordinary people" in the ordinary class. B&W suits this ordinariness well.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Elaine
A wonderful capture in B/W. The man sitting has a powerful presence by not looking at you as you take your shot. Full range of tones. very nice capture.

Hallo Elaine,
Bij deze foto heb je je goed geconcentreerd op het raam en de opstapplaats van de trein waar we telkens één persoon zien.
Mooi met het Birmaans schrift bovenaan de wagon.
Vele groeten, Paul

Hello Elaine,
Your B/W photos from Myanmar are like photographic poems. This one really grabs me. The writing on the train car, the two men, each dressed differently, and even the scribbled drawings inside, all add up to a beautiful scene. Take care!

Hi Elaine
Waiting for the whistle perhaps, they were so patient waiting for the train to start. Gritty, with a real air of realism and resignation to the slow train. That's a slice of real life, a moment captured- what street photography is supposed to be about. Who needs a street ?

Hello Elaine,
An ordinary photograph, according to the message, but not ordinary in involvement and composition. The window makes a picture frame, with a model, deep in his own thoughts, adding immediate interest to viewers!
The passenger on the steps becomes the watching attendant, in the picture gallery’!
My warm regards,
Bev 😊

Hello Elaine,
Great daily life photo with ordinary people. The window is like a picture frame for a man sitting in a train.
Well done in B&W medium with different shades of gray.
Best regards,
Zbigniew
