Photographer's Note
Fifteen years ago....
A capture in a moving train showing a young vendor plying his trade of iced cold water to passengers - one of many vendors who boarded the train at Shan Lan market station in Rangoon. One of the reasons for me
to ride the train characterised by their low speed, was to see local life in action: vendors selling every kind of imaginable snack, people got on and off, made themselves comfortable and tended to steal glances or even outright stare throughout the train ride. To think that this train was some 60 years old is a truly life time experience for me.
As the country's economy develops and more opportunities open to the population, many families hope it will no longer be necessary to send their children to work like this.....

Hi Abmdsudi
For me, visiting Myanmar from Thailand was like going into a time machine and stepping out into the 1940's or even earlier in remote parts of the country. Good daily life scene on the train of the enterprising water vendor. Tfs!

Hello Abmdsudi,
I would not immediately have guessed that this was a train but you have shown some excellent details to reveal its age, like the wooden floors and the seating arrangements. You have achieved a good sense of depth.
The vendor is well placed, next to his products; I like how the sunlight makes him appear to be wearing face paint.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Lepa scena u vozu, dobro pokazana sa lepim bojama, kontrastom i uhvacenim trenutak.
Dobar rad, lepa fotografija.
Voda je uvek dobro dosla kada je vrucina, posebno u vozu.
Zelim vam lepu i mirnu noc, sve najbolje.

Hi abmdsudi
It is similar to present Myanmar during the Joseon(old Korea) Dynasty in the 19th century. The ruling class followed only China's orders to maintain vested interests. It thought Western Europe and Japan were barbarian invaders. In defiance of European mercantilism, Joseon put only importance on agriculture. Official roads were very narrow or nonexistent in Joseon.. The reason was that invaders easily took over.

Hello Abmdsudi,
A good impression from the train, I like the low viewpoint you chose, which gives us the impression that we are one of the passengers. The vendor standing in the middle stands out well with his orange shirt. Good light management as well.
