The Stare, a photo from Dhawalagiri, West

Photographer's Note

The owner of the house gives a stare while his wife makes bread for him on breakfast. The stare seemed quite interesting as I never saw this kind of gaze. Didn't know the meaning of it. Was it positive or negative? I don't think it was negative as they seemed very calm. What do you think??

Hi Ravin,

It's not easy to take such photos, for sure. It demands some knowledge about lighting, measurements of it and so on. I am quite impressed by your photo. Nicely done.
However there is something that distracts me. This white 1-3px frame. That's unnecessary and a small mistake I guess. If it is necessary in your opinion it should be max 1px and in a colour resembling grey or let's say brown colour.
Anyway, as I said that's a nice photo and it's worth 2 points for sure.

A very good use of natural light. We have enough details there, and the rest, consisting of shades, does nothing else but create a mysterious atmosphere. I like such timeless photos.
