Close up view of 'ghantas' or ritual bells used in Hindu religious practices. The sound is considered auspicious which welcomes divinity, dispels evil and is said to disengage mind from ongoing thoughts thus making the mind more receptive hence focusing on the deity.

Taken at Swayambunath ancient religious complex of shrines and temples - also known as the Monkey Temple situated on a hilltop in Kathmandu Valley, west of Kathmandu city

Setting:300 mm, 1/320 sec, F5.6, ISO Raw 200, 1725 hrs & polarised

This is a little different.
I like to see close details of features and we would have lost much, in the way of textures and patterns, had we viewed these from a distance.

Hello Abmdsudi, a lovely close up of the two bells standing out from the absolutely plain and blurred background.
They are so highly polished they have given you lovely reflections of a building that we are unable to see. The yellow and red catch the eye on the reflected and engraved surface.
