Photographer's Note
My grandma and me...
the little boy seems oblivious
of me as I was shooting the scene.
This is a stage in the post-harvest
process, drying the grain
by the roadside.

Hi Raul,
A good provincial daily life scene. Very interesting and well presented with many mighty fine details. The saturated colors works well with me. Do you have a circular polarizer (C-PL)? This is probably a situation when a C-PL would help to make the sky bluer and provide a good contrast (would eliminate some PP work). As I drink my first cup of coffee in the morning before heading to work, I wish you a good day. And yes, I got your email re: digital photography in the Phil.
Many thanks for the info. Danilo

Hi Raul
A very typical scene along roadsides in the Philippines - although your grandma's clothing is probably only ever seen in the mountain province!
Nice shot, I like the way the diagonal of the roadside barrier draws the eye along towards the colourful figure under the parasol.
Good work

Its typical throughout rural Philippines to dry the grains on the side of the road, what makes this photo stand out is the distinct Raul colors. tfs pre.

Hi Raul! Good capture of a typical scene in the provinces after harvest time. Colors are great, as well as the clarity and lighting! The grandma and grandson teamwok here is wonderful to watch! I miss the ricefields shots, hope to get some when I go home in a few weeks time. rgds.
