Took this last week while I was with friends at Batangas in the Philippines. This is my very first attempt at shooting waterscapes. My gear is limited and I do hope people here give me constructive criticism. Thank you.

I'd love to give constructive comments - but, then, I don't know anything:)
The colour is really calm, the water looks good. I think the sky is a bit too bright/ overexposed.
I'm not sure how to fix that. I would maybe have taken the shot later in the day with a longer shutter speed so there would be less variation - but that is a guess, as I've only just got a camera which you can even change that on. Anyone?

All in all, good shot.

Welcome on TE!!!!
I;m new here too and my technical skills are poor, but I can say that the photo has a very good expression, very good composition and framing. Remember that you should write about the photos.
I hope you will show to us more photos os waterskapes from beautifull Philippines.

Nice play with the silhouettes, which gives the photo depth as well. And the blue, it just adds a strong serene 'touch' to the shot, very well done Sonny.

this picture is just so calming. jus wanted to comment that it really reminds me of home and jus how wonderfully gifted the Philippines is with nature. I think ur shot is great and the framing gives the presentation it's final touch..

Very nicely composed Sonny, the sky is slightly over exposed, you don't mention what camera you are using, if it has threads on the front of the lens a good investment would be a Cokin graduated neutral density filter to tame the sky and bring out the foreground. see my gallery to see what this type of filter can achieve.

Hello Sonny,

Great composition. I like the satin effect on the sea as a result of your exposure. I also like how the shades of blue came out on this one.

Where were you when you were taking the photo?
