Photographer's Note
Miagao (mee-yah-gow) Church, or Church of Santo Tomas de Villanueva is in Miagao, Iloilo, Philippines. It was inscribed as a UNESCO Heritage Site in 1972. The UNESCO Group is concerned with the world cultural and natural heritage. This church was completed in 1797. It was badly damaged by an earthquake in 1948 but was restored in 1960. The local stone used for the walls can be found only in that area of Iloilo. It is warm yellowish in color. Miagao Church is one of 4 Baroque Churches in the Philippines. What a beautiful church, the stonework is amazing. I love the coloring and light on the building, especially the very bright statue in the front, well done.

Another good shot from you, Andre. A very interesting chapel, with a lot of character. I was wondering why you posted it so small. I do like the colors and sharpness.

Looks like there are some intricate stonework carvings at the top part of the facade. I'd love to get a closer look of that. Beautiful church! Great picture.
