Photographer's Note
Yes, it's another sunset! But as with Corong-Corong Sunset, I hope the local flavour in the shape of the Bangka keeps it within the terms of Trek Earth. Taken from Corong-Corong beach, El Nido, Palawan, Philippines.
Thanks to Tomauer from the Philippines, for this information on the Bangka boat:
"The Bangka is unique. Our ancestors arrived in them, and it is the origin of the word for village, "Barangay", as that's where they stopped. You also see variations in Indonesia, Malaysia and the pacific islands (Polynesia) - as we come from the same wave of ancestors, the Austronesians. You can still see the similarities in design to this day."
The Bangka's peculiar feature is the bamboo stabilizers, which is what enabled the early versions to travel such long distances over open water, as it reduced the risk of capsizing in rough sea.

Oh! Another amazing view of El Nido Palawan. Beautiful Palawan never ceased to amaze me. Nice shot charlotte, the tight vertical framing is just wonderful. The color & Silhouetting of your bangka gives a mystical effect . TFS.

Hi Charlotte, a lovely sunset and the last ray of light just touching the surface of the bangka still revealing its individual elements. El Nido will always be special to people who have seen it. Thanks for sharing...Alex

Hello Charlotte,
I feel Palawan is more like mainland Thai or maybe Cambodia nature wise, as you don't find much limestone on the other Filipino islands...
But the sunsets are just like anywhere in the Phils, amazing!
And the exotic bancas always look great on pictures...
A well balanced composition with stunning colours!
Greetings,
Pablo -
