Christmas is For Children (3), a photo from Manila, NCR

Photographer's Note

a picture taken at the children's playground in Rizal Park, Manila. I was mobbed by these kids and I took loads and loads of pictures of them. I will feature each one of them later.
Anyway, I wish Christmas is everyday for them. But take a look at one of them (the one without clothes, really naked). I liked his free-spirit and the friendship that the oher kids gave to him. He still seemed lost and while many parents came to chat with me, no sign of the naked child's parent appeared.

Another good shot of your children series, Manuel. They all look so happy, but the expression and the eyes of the naked boy are amazing, and for me - he makes this shot.

Wonderful shot. The expression on all the kids are so full of happyness, though they must live in worst than ideal conditions. The small guy in the bottom left makes such a contrast in the joyfull faces, but I think it's sucha wonderfull expression. Very well done.

A great group and a great group picture. There is an interesting contrast between the older three who seems to be quite relaxed and the younger two who still has the worried look typical of small children around strangers.

Warm and colorful faces, well captured.

Sounds like my experience in the Delta region of Vietnam. I felt like the Pied Piper with kids trailing me in droves asking to be photographed.

Very impressive portraits of kids at play. I like all your children's pictures but this one is outstanding because of framing and most of all, the expressions of the kids. My favorite.

All children's faces are so expressive that you can read their emotions without any mistake...and they all have such bright eyes, reflecting their still pure and innocent souls... And you have captured exactly that great look! Excellent!

That little one on the bottom left is what makes this photo to me! It remindes me of those small little curious kittens...

what a beautiful composition with beautiful kids! I love their expressions, those smiles and those two curious faces.. again I see some overexposed areas - especially fingers of the boy in the middle, but that is how Nikon 4500 responds to very bright areas and high contrast, it simply blowns out highlights - I really didn't like it with mine ;-)...
anyway, very very nice picture!

Beautiful composition, Manny. You really captured a wonderful range of expressions in this one - from the happiness and energy of the top kids to the little shy angel in the bottom right corner. Perfectly framed. Well done.
