Photographer's Note
This is the St Dimitri Church in Uglich. The city is located about 300km north of Mocow. The church was built on the bank of the Volga where Dimitri, son of Ivan the Terrible and heir to the throne, was supposedly killed in 1591. His murder ushered in a period of chaos in Russia which was ended only by the election of the first Romanov czar in 1613. There are some other architectural landmarks in Uglich which makes a visit there well worth.
