Photographer's Note
Uglich again. Church of nativity of Iohan. One of the most beautiful churches in Uglich - for me. THe condition of church is not very good, but the decor of XVII centure is fantastic.
________________
Elegant five-headed temple connects dining-hall and richly decorated belfry. Its image repeats the features of the Church of St. Dmitrius "on the blood". Fantastic clay decorations are well seen on the red walls.
One can get in temple by stairs on huge jar-shaped columns. Building of this temple was connected with tragical event. In spring 1663 son of leather-merchant Nikifor Chepolosov went to his teacher in Vhodo-Ierusalimsky settlement and disappeared. Church of the Nativity of Iohan Predtecha was built on merchant's money for buring his son.

Natalia,
Cette église est déposée comme un bijou sur la neige. Tes couleurs sont magnifiques. Très, très belle photo. Bravo !

This is really nice Natalia, the building is so particular, I think the snow makes the scene even more beautiful. Good job!

Hi Natalia,
beautiful shot. I like the snow covered landscape with the dry grass and the leafless trees. But the main attraction is the church with it's green bulb-shaped roofs. It is exactly in the right postition. Well done.
Kind regards,
Roland

Hi Natalia, This is a really beautiful shot and desserves much more attention than it has got till now. The soft pastel colours are very appealing and the image is very well composed with the tree to the left and I also like to foreground. There is a very pleasant mood in this scene that I connect with. Excellent work! Sabine

Hi Natalia,
Beautiful photo of the Uglich church. It looks so serene, but looking at the grass I am also guessing there was some (cold) wind blowing as well. At least, I am talking from my experience from canadian winters.
Well done!!!

Hi Natalia,
Nice winter picture of the famous Dmitrievskaya church. Simple composition and simple colours make the picture impressive. Thanks.

it's so beautiful that this 0.1 degrees deviation of the church building from the vertical axis (to the left) has to be forgiven... what a color of this church! fan-ta-stic! Tomek
