Preobrazhensky cathedral in Yakutsk city
At 2:00 PM, on December 28, it was the only buiding of Yakutsk center that was getting direct light (here coming from the left) Everything else was in shadow. The sun iwas very low, however the cathedral stays at the limit of city plato, at a the top of a cliff. That's why it is getting some light from the South.
I had, however, to use ISO 500.
It is true that there is snow on this photo. But grids, trees and crosses are covered with frost. In winter, the temperature in Yakutsk is extremly low. The day of the photo, it was just -25°C. Before and after it was between -40°C and -50°C.That is why almost everything in Yakutsk is covered with frost. It looks very different from what I observed in Golden Ring (Russia of Europe) at, almost, the same period.

This photo was stolen by Miss Anastasiya Girutskaya for promoting "IBS", an Hunagarian "Business School".
