I like to walk on city at night when many buildings are beautifully covered. Here one of them - Isaakievsky cathedral

The city in which I live, is known, I think, to all world the architecture. Presently its beauty can be seen and day and night, I am glad, if I managed to show to you beauty of this cathedral.

I used tripod

a very beautiful architecture with nice colors. I reckon longer shutter speed would be nice, to get the light tail longer. With the tripod it shouldn't be a problem at all and you will love the long exposure :D Good luck.

Very nice view of the cathedral. It's so massive and solid and such a great contrast to the quick pace of the traffic in the foreground. It's a real good view, especially considering a recent interior post of this building. Here you see the two worlds, the calm and spiritual interior and the fast paced, always in a rush, hectic, no time to rest world of the exterior. Yet it stands there like a solid beacon inviting anyone willing to take some time out of their day to enter. Very nicely captured here. Great job.

J'aime beaucoup les différentes teintes de lumière sur le bâtiment orangée sur la bas et blanche sur le haut, ensuite le long temps de pose permet aussi de jouer avec l'éclairage des voitures passant par là.

Hi Marianna. I hadn't noticed your work earlier. There're so many beautiful pictures. But I did a little catch up. This is a very impressive picture! Nice contrasts. I especially like the way the 4 floodlights are visible and set the tower alight. Very atmospheric & very well done!

Marianna, Pour moi c'est une photo parfaite,des notes de couleurs d'une grande douceur,as-tu utilisé un trépied ? d'après l'éclairage des voitures passantes je pourrais le croire. Mais le point pour moi extrêmement fort est cette note jaune curry,chaude dans le ciel à gauche.Comment as-tu fait? Merci belle capture! Ciao/jr

Same question : why not using a broader DOF so as to have the whole building sharp ?

But I like the scene very much because of the attraction of the dome in white light and of the fuzziness of the car lights on the foreground. Great shot !

A beautiful image. The long exposure has captured the car lights very well. I have heard St Petersburg is very pretty and now I can see its true. One day I will see it for myself.
