Traditional Bashkirian dancers, a photo from Bashkiria, Ural

Photographer's Note

This picture was taken at a show in a small city called Oktyabersky in the western region of Bashkiria- a semi autonomous republic in the ural region.
The dancers are part of a show that closed the fastivities ofnational holiday of the Bashkirians- The Sabantui.
What caught my eye was the red ribbons that they all used in an uncoordinated way which translated to a very interesting composition.

It's a pity this picture is so small. It would have been more dynamic if it was larger. - Also maybe adjusting the colours a little then the colours look more vivid!

Other than that I think this is a good composition! Well seen...!

Wonderful colours and action. As WoodPigeon said, it's a pity that the picture is small. More details could be seen in a bigger pictures. But it is a beautifullt seen photograph and the framing of the dancers is very nice.

Like the contrast between the dancesrs, the grey ground and that red ribbons. Due to the ribbons the photo seemes to be overwritten with japanese or chinese letters, gives a strange accent to it.

Agree with WoodPigeon and flip89 about the size.

I keep getting the feeling that you have great photography skills but somewhere along the way of image processing, you dont know how to bring out the best of the shot. I would recommend you to read some of the explanations about image processing that are published here from time to time.

in this shot, its a wonderful composition of color, but it shold be a bit more contrasted and saturated to have a bigger effect on the viewer.
also, posting a larger image would enable us to check out all the interesting details.
it seems like you have a wonderful eye, too bad if the result is losing some of its glory on the way...
