Photographer's Note
Bogoyavlensky Monastery (meaning monastery of Theophany of Christ) was founded by the first wife of Ivan the Terrible - Great Princess Anastasia - in 1550-s, first stone building - white one, at the right of the photo - was build in 1559; red-brick church made in 1864; white bell-tower made in year 1620.
***
Photography on the territory of the manstery is forbidden (stupid rule in some monasteries), so I made a kind of "illegal" shot again!
No one can explain me, how the photography can corrupt faith? What damage Christ will take if one of his temples will be photographed?
Most of the abbots of our Orthodox church understand this, so this "no-photo" rule is practicised only in several monasteries.
Which is good.
