...Главные ворота Борисоглебского монастыря. Какие-то странные ощущения возникают, когда узнаешь, что через них в августе 1380-го года на Куликовскую битву уезжал Ослябя. Тогда они, понятное дело, выглядели значительно скромнее.

Main gates of Borisoglebsky Monastery (Monastery of a St Boris and St Gleb).
Monastery was founded in year 1363. Walls ant towers are from 1520-s, and these main gates are decorated and designed in 1660-s.
It's standing in a very beautiful place, in a deep forest several kilometers from Rostov the great.

Hi Uhu, Another good composition of this huge series of 1000 year old buldings. I like the definite doorway which i imagine was a drawbridge many years ago. Good dramatic crop. TFS. Murray.
