Photographer's Note

5am on a Monday morning in Singapore, and I find myself at Sri Mariamman Temple on Temple Street- amidst a Hindu Fire Walking Festival.
Thousands of male devotees, many who have been fasting for days before hand, decend upon the temple to fulfill their vows before the Hindu holiday of Deepavali (Nov. 11th).
A truly remarkable experience!
Unfortunately, I didn't have my tripod with me, and with the amount of people, don't think I really had room to put it down! I shot this one hand held with my 75-300mm lens, using a film speed of 1600, shutter of 1/13.
It did manage to blur a bit, but I think it kind of adds to the feeling of the photo. What do you think? Comments and critiques are always welcome!
