Photographer's Note
Here's another irony. Singapore is such an advanced country in many aspects, yet in her own little ways, she still retains the customs/traditions/practices and in this case, old methods of doing things or even making a living.
We all can't live without having keys. Keys to our houses, cars, cabinets, drawers, etc. This man is a roadside keysmith. Unlike many more advanced locksmiths or keysmiths who use big machines that make their work so much easier, this man uses just a simple key cutter machine to create keys! Cheap and good. One key would only cost you less than S$5.00!
I just thought i'd be an interesting thing to know. Hope you guys will like it.

Yep, I like it!
Good to see this snatch of daily life, an image possibly at contrast with the modernity of central Singapore with its office blocks and top hotels. An ordinary person in an extraordinary city, perhaps.
Nice to see an image of Singapore away from the usual - good one.

I find this quite interesting. Sometimes low-tech is good, and making keys seems like a nice tradition. I think of things that are interesting, and certainly trades and professions that have dissapeared with modernization hold emotion and interest. Thank you for sharing.
