Children indulge in a tug of war contest held over the weekend at a kid's birthday party. Great fun for parental viewing, and some adults could not avoid getting involved!

Cropped, framed and unsharp filter applied.

Good expressions and I am always a sucker for diagonals like the line created by the rope and the kids. I wish that one adult shoulder wasn't there in the top left, but this is a very appealing shot. I like that evne though you had lots of light, you chose to go with a wide aperture, the narrow DOF works here.

Glad to see your posting again my friend....
Great action shot of this tug of war. Knowing you as I do, I'm sure you had a monstrous mud puddle awaiting the losers! hahaha
Great depth of field, focusing in on the second child.
My only suggestion would have been to crop out the adults arm in the TLHC (top left hand corner).

Other then that mate- great shot!

great children action pix. We also discern that not all of them put the same effort in pulling the rope, and some took it a lot more seriously than others.

There are some born leaders in that pix!!!

This is a wonderful action shot, Vic. Here you have the perfect diagonal 'line' in the photo. Some of the kids are really making an effort, but I like the girl who seems to be standing up looking for her friend. Well captured.

Hehe, wondefful close up of the children, Vic! :-)) So glad about the involving as it definitely gave fine results: completely agree with Andrew that the diagonal is working finely for the composition and I like the way you focused on the first three children and that we still can see the others behind. Great colours and face expressions, showing some similar things from the grown-ups world: some are really putting efforts in what they do, some only pretend to do it and some are enjoying it the way it is without trying to change it at all..;-)

Am just thinking of left cropping to remove the man's elbow. Nevertheless this is still an excellent capture of fun moments. Congratulations!
