Photographer's Note
A while ago, I uploaded this photo of a woman in a small market stall in Taipei. While I liked the photo, I don't really think it showed how truly tiny her shop was. This is the same shop, but I am guessing we are looking at her husband (I have never seen him before). With the fisheye lens, I was standing very close and you can see pretty much every item they have for sale. I have no idea how they can make a living out of such a small space.
This is full frame, ISO 200, handheld(should have bumped the ISO) and normal post processing.

It's interesting how a wide angle lens can actually make something feel cramped... excellent sense of depth and size; the scale of the jars reminds us just how small the place is even though the distance between the back shelf and the lens is stretched.

Great shot ! The man seems to be prisoner of all these stuff in a so small place.

We see here the full dimension of your new fisheye capacity.
Your other photograph, "Sidedishes at the Market", was already a good example of the possibilities offered by that type of lens, but this one is a real success.
The man seems to be submerged by all those coloured cans and other stuff. You really manage to make us feel the claustrophobic atmosphere of the place.
I've never really understood how they manage their stocks in those asian small market stalls...

I love the wide-angle effect here, Darren. Nice contrast between all the neat little rows of cans and bottles on the shelves and the piles of stuff in the front. Nice shot.

If you ever go to 'Luminous Landscape' - a website on digital photography, there is a funny article about lens and their use.
I think this is a great demnstration of how to use this lens effectively.
Nice one!!

Wow... this one gives a new meaning to the word "corwded"... Very good use of the fisheye Darren, and lovely colors to boot. Well captured!

Super Darren

Excelent image! In fact much better than the previous. Not only because we've get a better perception of the space (which is awsome!) but the composition itself is more interesting. I particularly like how the shelves (???) point to the center-back, and together with the saturation of small details makes us look at the centeredd man. A great example on how to brakes the golden rule.

Bonne image de scène de rue. Le fisheye restitue bien l'idée qu'on se fait de ces minuscules échoppes qui pullulent en Asie. Le rendu chromatique est excellent. Bravo.

Well, it's no place for browsing I'll say. A very nice TE contribution - not something you'd find around Luxembourg. Very colourful and warm - he loooks as if he's wondering whether allowing you to take his photo will make you buy anything. Did you?
