Sailing: Surin Beach, Phuket Thailand, a photo from Phuket, South

This image was made from Surin Beach in Phuket Thailand, looking out over the Andaman Sea. The small cruising yacht was heading north along the coast in the late afternoon beneath the edge of tropical thunder cloud. While not a big fan of coloured filters, the sky was already hazy, so I opted to use an old amber glass Cokin filter on a 100-300 Canon zoom.
Techical: Fuji velvia, Canon EOS 630, digitally scanned.Slightly saturated in PS. I burnt in the brighter area of cloud.

Good colouring and love the silhouette of the yacht.

Although the clouds are a good addition, I can't help but think how much better this shot would be if there was no cloud there at all, and simply making it a minimal image. However I guess its not something you could help, still a good shot.
