Photographer's Note

This beach shot was taken near Surin in Phuket Thailand. Three "long-tail" boats where anchored fore and aft with their bows pointing to sea. I waded in amongst the boats and got down low and close for this shot.
Technical: Canon EOS 630, Fuji Velvia, Circular polariser on a 24mm lens. Later digitally scanned. I tweaked up the saturation by +20 and did my best to remove a slight magenta cast, then applied a small amount of 'diffuse glow' to brighten the clouds and high-lights.
