Ko Poda, a photo from Krabi, South

Photographer's Note

My idea of paradise would be a lot cooler and much less humid, but the beauty of southern Thailand makes putting up with the heat easier. View of Ko Poda from a small uninhabited island (forgot the name) with 3 beaches at low tide. The white strip on the horizon is the beach on Poda, the mainland (Ao Nang coast) is visible behind it. These islands were overrun by hals of the population of Sweden at the time, I believe the Queen of Norway was also staying at a mega expensive resort on Ao Phra Nang.

Good low PoV here leading to the hill, the variations in green and blue are fantastic and on a hot afternoon like today it's very refreshing !!!

Even if it's not paradise, spending a week on this uninhabited island would be OK with me. The water is just so tempting, at least that's what your image conveys. Good execution, crisp colors.

Hi Catman, the colour of the sea water is very impressive, and contrasts very well with the blue sky. The clouds helps to give more beauty to the seascape. The composition having the high mountain in the background adds a kind of nature power to the shot. The light, always difficult in these conditions, is also very well captured. Good work, and thanks for sharing this kind of pleasant and fresh views. It goes direct to my favorites!.

It's a real paradise scene! I long fir such landscapes! It's well composed, sharp (what's not happend often with sea pictures). Coloors are wonderfull; Your picture is well contrasted, it's bring deepth to the picture. It's very well done

Wow! Such a beautiful place, beautiful cotton clouds and you had a great shot here..I am not so keen on the vignetted polarized part of the top right corner though..

Oui, assurément et vue la limpidité de l'eau, on ferait des kilomètres à la nage pour y parvenir.

Great photo Tan!! The water looks so inviting! It also looks like you could wade over to the island, or at least part of the way!

Reminds me of the scene in "the beach" where they have to swim over to the island.

I love the colours and the clouds too, looks like it might just rain later on in the day.....

This picture is like a dream, how such beautiful places can exist ! the water is so clear and calm, the white sand beach seems desert and waiting for us ! The sky also is beautifula and well captured thanks to the ploariser.

This is the best view of a seafront so far. Bright with narrative contrast and declaring details. Great work here Tan. Worth walking this far out to sea under the hot sun to get this.
