Photographer's Note

The construction of Tilla Kori madrassah began in 1646, in the northern part of the Registan Square, on the place of the caravan-sarai.



The name “Tilla Kori” was given thanks to its décor. Tilla Kori means “gilded”.

The interior of Tilla Kori madrassah is magnificent, probably the most impressive in Samarkand.
On the right side, you can see the stairs and the women prying. It is the mosque part.
