Photographer's Note

Each country is uniquely different, and it is a tough call comparing one with the other. But in terms of awe-inspiring history and phenomenal architecture, only one nation stands out – Uzbekistan.

Bukhara, Unesco WHS, is historically one of the great trading cities along the Silk Road for more than 1,000 years old. It is the most complete example of a medieval city in Central Asia with an urban fabric that has remained largely intact. Monuments of particular interest include the Kalyan Ensemble, a masterpiece of 10th-century Islamic architecture.

This is a picture of the external porch of Kalyan Mosque, you could stare at those tiles for days…....
