Today some closer detail at My Son, the ruined ancient Hindu temple complex inland from Hoi An.
The main photo shows an example of the carvings on the outside of My Son temples. Unfortunately not many are in good condition with this one being one of the best but it is without its face.
The first workshop shows a couple of free standing sculptures, one headless.
The second workshop shows much better what there used to be at My Son. It shows sculptures rescued from My Son from before the bombing in the Vietnam war. These sculptures are in the museum at Da Nang, north of Hoi An.
