Photographer's Note

I shot this picture in the summer of 1989, using a Canon film camera borrowed from a relative. A quarter of century ago, photographic paper, film and chemical were expensive that I can only afford to print one copy and gave a way to the people in picture – not a second copy for myself.
I left the country the following year. Last week, the photo found its way to reach me, and I was glad to scan it to compare with today digital technology.
You can conclude that this shot is nothing, but for me, it helps bring me back to time when having a camera in hands can be sentenced to prison because the Communist government considered photo equipment is the tool for the spy to capture the reality of life to publish in the free world.
Today in different. The government is the first to rush toward the American for their high-tech and strength and abundance.
